On 26 December, at 19.00, Nataly Ganina, a student of the Royal College of Music will perform at Culture Palace “Ziemeļblāzma”.
The young and talentedpianist Nataly Ganina is not known to wider audience; however, she has already achieved a lot in her musical career. She started to study music at Jurjans Music School at the age of four and continued her studies at Latgale Music School and Jurmala Secondary School of Music where she regularly participated in competitions and won prizes in various children and youth music events in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Czech Republic, France and Denmark. Over this period, she also actively participated in master classes delivered by famous musicians and academic staff to improve her skills as a pianist. In 2012, after winning the young talent competition of Latvia, she gave her first solo concert in Riga in the Golden Hall of Riga Latvian Society House. In 2015, during her participation in the Piano Competition for Young Pianists Aarhus International Competition in Denmark together with the most talented young musicians from all over the world she was noticed by the jury and offered to enter the Royal College of Music. Thus, she became the only pianist of the restored Latvian independence period who has managed to get enrolled in this world famous higher education institution of music at the first attempt.
At the moment, Ms Ganina is a bachelor-level student in Professor Nigel Clayton’s class and has been selected to represent the College in the master class series by Professor Ian Jones that took place at the Music and Theatre Academy of Estonia this year.
